Today the asphalt company paved around the putting green and the first tee. It is really starting to take shape.
We focused our attention today on removing the yews around the putting green. Over the years, the yews have become overgrown and have prohibited the view of the golf course. The yews have also restricted air movement around the putting green and #18 green, resulting in tougher growing conditions.

The removal of the yews will improve plant health on both of these greens. It will also improve sight lines and provide a nice, clean appearance. We will continue this project tomorrow.
