As we enter mid-July, the golf course remains in great shape. I'm pleased with conditions and playability.
We were able to stay on schedule and verticut greens yesterday. They look really good as we pulled out a fair amount of lateral growth.

We were also able to tamp and compact the new sand in bunker faces that we redid this spring. This will firm them up and limit the number of balls that bury in the sand.

We are also testing a new raking technique on the bunker edges to help balls roll down into the middle of the bunker. We are raking the edges so they are smooth and firmer. This new technique should keep less balls from plugging into the bunker faces.
