So Far...So Good

With the snow gone, I've been able to inspect the greens.  I'm pleased with how we endured another tough winter.  It is still early to make a final conclusion on how the turf fared this winter, but the early indications look really good.  At this point the greens appear healthy with minimal injury.

I'm finding some small random discolored turf patches, but it looks to be injury to the leaf tip, not the entire plant.  I would expect most of these plants to be fine and to grow out of this discoloration.  We will certainly know more as temperatures moderate and the frost works its way out of the soil.

There is minimal snow left on the golf course after last week's warm spell.  We have been pumping off excess water in the fairways to help facilitate the drying process.  I'm still finding some frost in the ground which will have to work its way out before we can start playing golf.  We will open the course for walking as soon as ground conditions allow.
