Course Clean Up

The golf course remains wet after an inch of rain this weekend.  With another inch in the forecast over the next couple of days, it is hard to say when conditions will allow for carts. #6 tee surrounded by standing water Despite soft ground conditions, we were able to strategically move around to some select areas and start raking and picking up sticks and debris.  Clean up this year will take a little longer than normal as there are many more small sticks and twigs from the wind storm a few weeks ago. #10 #18  #9 Also on the agenda this week is drainage repair in 8 bunkers. Several freeze/thaw cycles this winter caused some sections of drain lines to heave up close to the surface.  We will be digging these lines up and placing them back to their normal grade. Over the next couple of weeks, will be adding sand to those bunkers that are low. #10 green side bunker

Winter Isn't Over!

Bitter cold temperatures and 3" of snow on the ground reminds us that winter is not over.  It is certainly not uncommon for us to see snow in March, but after the beautiful February weather, it is harder to accept. #3 #5

Big Windy Mess

The windstorm that ripped through the metro Detroit area yesterday caused quite a mess.  Wind gusts of 40 mph wreaked havoc with the trees.  We spent the majority of today cleaning up the largest limbs and affected areas.

March Rain

Heavy thunderstorms last night dropped over 1.25" of rain.  Needless to say, ground conditions are extremely soft.  Heavy winds are predicted tonight, hopefully they will dry things out. # 5 rough #11 fairway
