Wet is an Understatement

The golf course is extremely saturated seeing that we've already received 1.3" of rain today.  The course will be open for walking only this morning.  I will reevaluate conditions at 12:00 noon and make a decision on men's league and cart availability. We are currently pumping excess water off of fairways.  #3 fairway - the water is over a foot deep in the middle #11 fairway   We are also slicing fairways, in an effort to help dry the course out.  We are using the AerWay which is creating a 3" deep slice to help increase water infiltration.  The AerWay roller is acting like a giant squeegee pushing the excess water into the slices.  Below are a few pictures and a video displaying how wet conditions are. close-up of AerWay Slicer non-disruptive means of moving air into the root zone

Afraid of Heights?

The water tower received its final coat of paint and finishing touches today thanks to H20 Towers, LLC.  It was interesting to observe the cleaning, prep work and painting.    You don't realize how high 115 feet is until you are staring straight up at two guys in a bucket working on the tower.    Water Tower Fun Facts: - constructed during the 1920's - 115 feet tall - 90,000 gallon capacity
