The golf course will open March 31, 2011 . Carts will not be allowed until course conditions dry out and the turf is actively growing. The golf course endured several freeze/thaw cycles this winter and came out in excellent condition. I am pleased with turf density and color, as the plants are off to a healthy 2011. My staff and I have begun the spring clean-up process. We will begin cutting greens as nighttime temperatures stabilize. See you on the course-

Mother Nature is having a hard time deciding when spring will begin. Temperatures last night fell to 11 degrees with snowfall. If you've lived in Michigan long enough, unpredictable weather this time of year should not be a surprise. I am as eager as anyone for the golf season to begin, however, as I have learned, Mother Nature has the final say. #2 Fairway

I'm excited about the upcoming season and anxiously awaiting warmer weather. With a new season has come new ideas, I've created this blog to provide membership with the latest information on golf course conditions and maintenance practices. I believe it will be a good tool to help communicate the latest happenings on the course and provide an in-depth look at how my staff and I maintain the golf course.
